It has been this way since Ancient Rome decided to make coins with less and less silver in them in order to devalue their currency or as the Federal Reserve would say “Quantitative Easing”

Revelation 3:18 – “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.”
When the end of the world comes God literally counsels his children to buy gold
Joshua 4:26 – Then they burned the whole city and everything in it, but they put the silver and gold into the treasury of the Lord’s house.
When God told Joshua to DESTROY ALL of Jericho, he ordered the Silver and Gold saved and put it in the Church. This is a lesson that gold is timeless.
From 1990 to 2020. the price of gold increased by around 360%. If we look now at the 75-year period from 2005 to 2020. the price of gold increased by 330%. roughly the same as the 30 years considered above
As governments compete in a never ending cycle of financial greed and gluttony, Gold will only increase in value.
Matthew 25 – In the story of the Bags of Gold, a man entrusted his wealth to three servants so that they could grow it while he’s away. The master rewarded the two servants who made an earning out of their share but was angry with the servant who did nothing.
God gives us things of value, and it is our responsibility to protect them and invest them.
Job 22:23-25: “If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.”
God blesses his faithful obedient children with Gold, and we are here to facilitate those blessings.

Exodus 36-39: God orders the Israelites to build the Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant, the garments for the high priests and all the furniture with gold as the main building material. God handed the blueprint for the construction which the Israelites followed obediently.
Gold is literally God’s building Material, and when he builds his home on earth in the new testament he uses gold for everything.
Haggai 2:6-9 – “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty. 8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. 9 ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
When everything around is crumbling. Gold and silver is God’s reserve currency, it will remain.
Revelation 21:18-21
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
When God is ready to reward his children, he does it with Gold.
